Why use falconry for gulls and pigeons?
Falconry is an ethical and environmentally friendly approach to pest bird management. Our birds are not trained to hunt but their mere presence triggers an instinctual fear within the problem birds and encourages them to seek out more favourable conditions elsewhere. The bond between the falconer and birds of prey means they recognise the falconer as their source of food rather than hunting for themselves.

What type of birds do we use?
We use Harris Hawks or falcons which are peregrine or Gyr hybrids for our programmes. Harris Hawks are social birds ideal for urban sites. Falcons are a real aerial presence suiting larger open sites capable of covering huge distances.
